Tour of Luxembourg,2nd stage:ANDY SCHLECK!!!

The second stage of Tour of Luxembourg (Schifflange-Differdange) was won by ANDY SCHLECK.Second came Matti Breschel, another Sexy Banker. “It was great winning on home ground and with Matti on second place it was a perfect day for us. Tomorrow is the queen stage of the race and we have at least three riders who will be able to win it. Astana is in the lead of the race so they have the responsibility to control the events of the course. On the other hand we can go for the stage and hopefully create a gap big enough to take the jersey”, told Andy Schleck after the stage."Most importantly we got a victory for the team today and of course it is always cool to be at the front of the race and be able to ride for the victory in the finals. The course is generally only getting tougher from now on, and both Fränk, Andy and I are well-placed in the GC so we must be aggressive and play the other GC-riders against each other in the finals the last two days of the race. Tomorrow's finish line is uphill so there should be an opportunity to create yet another successful result”, said Matti Breschel.
Chris Anker Sorensen (a rider I really do like) was in a breakaway but eventually came in 53rd.Frank was 14th.The new leader of the GC is Assan Bazayev, while Andy is 5th and Frank is 8th.Breschel instead is 3rd.

  3. I remember as well the guy dressed like that thing in the picture, but I never understood what it was.Perhaps it is really a snowman, but I can't understand why a snowman is given to the winner of a race which is held in June.Perhaps the Luxembourgian organizators were so happy and confused by Andy's victory that they gave him the wrong premium ;)

Btw,Andy looks great in these pics. This year he's already won 2 races and here in Italy we say "there's no 2 without a 3".Me hopes the 3rd victory will come during the Tour :)

  4. That's where I remember it from, the Giro. That person in that suit looked really strange and I don't get it either why they give that snowman to the winner. They can give it to Fränk today, because he won the stage :D
