According to http://www.sporten.dk/cykling/chok-riis-smider-schleck-ud-af-vueltaen , Andy and Stuart were forced to abandon la Vuelta because they broke some internal rules of the team. Luckily, it seems that this hasn't got anything to do with doping.

RispondiEliminaA 'truth machine' would probably make this story become clearer. Without said machine, we can only ty to guess who's said the truth and who hasn't.
RispondiEliminaLa Gazzetta (which is a great newspaper as far as cycling rumours are concerned) said that the boys came back from a bar at 5 am and were welcomed at the hotel by Greenwood, who was waiting for them in the hall. As well as that, the journalist who wrote the article saidthat also Fabian Cancellara might have been out drinking with Andy and Stuart.
