Frank Schleck crashes in Vuelta al Paìs Vasco:

Yes, Frankie crashed during today's stage of the Vuelta a Paìs Vasco. I didn't see the race but, reading the news on Team Saxo Bank website,I started to look for further information on the Internet.One interestthing thing that I've found so far comes from http://www.esciclismo.com/%20ampliada.asp?Id=14209 .In fact on this link there are the words said by José Angel Vidal, Team Xacobeo Galicia's ds, about today's crash.
"With 4 kms to go the peloton was riding full gas.There was a motorbike belonging to a viewer parked on a bump and four cyclists went against it.They were David Garcìa, Marcos Garcìa and Frank Schleck.It was a very violent impact,but all the riders luckily made it to the finish-line". Frank eventually ended the race 12 minutes after the winner Francesco Gavazzi and the injury on the back of his head needed 4-5 stitches. On Twitter both Andy and Frank Schleck sounded very angry. "An idiot kicked him off the road",Andy said talking about Frank's crash,but since I haven't seen any video of the race I can't say who this "idiot" was.
As you can see from Vidal's words,the way the crash happened isn't actually very clear.For example,he talks about a motorbike belonging to a viewer,but on Saxo Bank website it is said that Frank fell because of a sudden move made by a rider in front of him. Perhaps said rider (who probably corresponds to Andy's "idiot") probably had problems in trying to avoid hitting the motorbike and so he caused Frank to crash (or he crashed as well,I don't know).

Anyway the last news coming from Saxo Bank website reports that Fränk Schleck doesn't have any fractures (thanks God!).However Frank possibly has a mild concussion and it won't be decided until tomorrow whether he will continue in the Basque stage race. Hoping that Frank will be able to recover in a speedy and complete way,I close this post,wondering why bad luck keeps on annoying the Schleck brothers,Chris Anker Sorensen and Matti Breschel rather than disturbing a certain Italian rider whose nickname is "Il Cobra".If available,more news about the crash will come tomorrow.
